Dennis Lynn Tew

Dennis Lynn Tew, 53, of Marshall, Texas passed away on November 7, 2025 in Longview. Born on September 20, 1972 in Carthage, to L.C. Tew and the late Sandra Griffin. He was a gifted musician and entertainer whose music and voice inspired an entire generation of new performers.
Dennis grew up with a passion for music and started a lifetime of performance at an early age in clubs and dance halls owned by his mother and grandmother. He loved playing host, whether it was on stage at an event or at family gatherings, he lived for good food, good music, good friends, and good times.
He is survived by spouse, Shelley Tew, children Brittany Boyd, Jamie Boyd, and Ava Tew, father, L.C. Tew, and sisters Kelly Tew and Regina Henson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Griffin, and son, Kaleb Boyd.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 1:00 P.M., with friends and loved ones at The Cammack Family Marshall. A private family graveside will be held at Antioch Cemetery near Carthage, Texas.
For anyone who would like to pay their respect to Dennis and the family, or are unable to attend the services, you are welcome to join them at the funeral home for a visitation on the evening of Tuesday, November 11. 2025 from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M.
