Deborah Ann "Debby" Jones, a beacon of love and selflessness, was called to her eternal rest on August 10, 2025. Born on September 16, 1958, in Marshall, Texas, Debby's life was a testament to the Christian values she held dear, and her generous spirit was a blessing to all who knew her.
Debby spent her formative years in the town of her birth, graduating from Marshall High School, where she was known for her kindness and vibrant personality. After high school, she ventured into the world of retail, where she not only displayed her innate ability to connect with people but also honed her skills in business. This experience would pave the way for her to eventually own and manage her own business, a dream she cherished and realized with grace and determination.
In her later years, Debby embraced the role of a stay-at-home caregiver, dedicating her time to the well-being of her beloved husband, Richard "Ricky" Jones. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending quality time with her sons Joshua Watson and his wife Gena, Lance Mathis and his wife Brittany, her brothers, Doug Muse and his wife Pam and Tony Muse and his wife Stephanie and of course her grandchildren, Kailyn and Grady Mathis.
Debby's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's journey with hope and compassion. Her heart found its greatest happiness in the laughter and achievements of her grandchildren, Kailyn and Grady. Watching Kailyn dance and cheering on Grady in his sports endeavors were moments that Debby cherished deeply. These memories are now treasured keepsakes for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Jones. Also, as a loving mother, Debby leaves behind her sons, Lance Mathis and wife, Brittany, Joshua Watson and wife Gena, step- daughters Kandis Rogers, Maeghan Longoria and Lauren Taylor, her grandchildren, Kailyn and Grady Mathis, and her brothers, Doug and Tony Muse. Each of them will carry forward her legacy of love and generosity in their own lives.
As we remember Debby, we reflect on a quote that she often found comfort and wisdom in, by Mother Teresa: "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Debby lived by these words, performing countless small acts of kindness that together created a tremendous impact on those around her.
Debby's departure from this world was peaceful as she passed in her sleep in Lindale, Texas. While her family and friends will miss her presence, they find solace in knowing that she lived a life full of purpose, guided by her unwavering faith and the love she had for her family.
Debby's life was a journey of giving, and her story will continue to inspire those who knew her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we are reminded that her spirit remains with us, guiding us to live with the same love and selflessness that she embodied every day.
