Deborah Howell Life Story

A memorial service for Deborah Allyne Pepper Howell, known as "Pepper," will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, December 18 at the Living Word Church located at 1567 FM 1252 E, Kilgore, TX and officiated by Pastor Lee Bryan.
Pepper was born on December 18, 1956, in Raymondville, TX to Janie and James C. Pepper. She graduated from Tatum High School in 1975 where she was a member of the band as a majorette. Pepper enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and she was a diehard fan of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football and the Dallas Cowboys. She settled in Galveston, TX for many years where she became a beloved waitress at Guido's until hurricane IKE after which time she relocated to San Antonio, TX before returning to live out her life in Longview, TX.
Pepper was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and adored her great-granddaughter, Theabelle.
Pepper was proceeded in death by paternal grandparents Allyne and George Pepper; maternal grandparents, Tylene and Thurman Richardson; her father, James C. Pepper; and sister, Melody Ann Pepper.
Pepper is survived by her daughter, Teri Clark Garrett of San Antonio, TX; grandsons Jonathan Garrett and James Garrett of San Antonio, TX, granddaughter Paige Garrett Hayward and husband Bud of Baytown, TX; great granddaughter Theabelle Hayward of Baytown, TX; mother, Janie Pepper of Longview, TX; brother and sister-in-law Joel and Caryn Pepper of Longview, TX; nephews George Pepper of Austin, TX and Landry Pepper of Longview, TX, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear longtime friends Jeanie and Lee Bryan.
