Deanna M Read

Deanna "Gogi" Marie Simmons Read was born on Jan 5, 1941 in Marshall, Texas and won her fight with cancer on March 8, 2023 in Jefferson, Texas when she went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, husband David Preston Read, daughter Loretta Dianne Read, father and mother Joel T. and Bessie Merle Simmons and many other friends and family.

She is survived by her sister, Peggy and husband, Gene Mobley; brother in law and sister in law, Lester and Elaine Moore; son, Joey and wife, Trey Read; daughter, Tammie and husband, Chip Davidson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather Hartwick, Meghan Knotts, Shelbey Kirkland, Dylan Read, and Annie Rushing as well as 3 1/2 precious great grandbabies.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. in Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.

We, the family, would like to take the opportunity to thank Sullivan's Funeral Home for their kindness and help during these final preparations. Also our thanks for the amazing staff and care our mother received at Magnolia Place Wellness and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, TX and Heart to Heart Hospice care. Great kindness and care was shown by everyone in these organizations.
