David Dwayne Roberts

David Roberts of Longview, Texas passed away Monday afternoon. David was born August 14, 1946 in Canyon, Texas to Dwayne and Peggy Roberts. He was raised in Dalhart, Texas along with his two sisters.
A hard-working man, David spent his early life working for the railroad, and then the majority of his later life working for the Texas Department of Corrections. He and his wife Pam raised their family in Dumas, Texas and lived there for 32 years before retiring to Longview, Texas in 2009 to be closer to their kids and grand kids.
David is proceeded in death by his mother Peggy Harding and his father Dwayne Roberts.
David is survived by his loving wife Pam of 50 years, his sister Le Rivas, sister Kathy Smith, son John Roberts and his wife Monika, daughter Martha Spelman and her husband Paul, grandkids Rylan, Wrigley, Kaylee, Ruston and Bryce. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration funeral service will be held in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM. David will be laid to rest at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
