David Wayne Fowler, beloved husband, father, son, and grandfather, entered his eternal home in heaven on November 21, 2023 surrounded by his family. David was born in Longview, TX on April 6, 1974 to parents, Betty Turner Fowler and the late Amos Fowler. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Katrina (Fultner) Fowler, their children, and granddaughter, his mother Betty Turner Fowler, and his sister Becky Fowler Rockwell and her husband Rocky. David was a loving father to his children, Emilee Hill and her husband Evan, Natalie Fowler, and Trenton Fowler. He was the proud Pops to his granddaughter Palmer Jane Hill. He was preceded in death by his father Amos Fowler, brother Darrell Fowler, as well as his grandparents Hardin and Fay Turner, Louis and Virginia Fowler, and Leona Cargile.
David was a 1992 graduate of Longview High School and worked at Mundt Music for over 25 years. He was a longtime member of Longview Missionary Baptist Church. David loved the Lord and counted it a blessing to serve him by using his musical talents in worship services at LMBC. He had a passion for music and instruments, and played guitar almost all of his life. David was an avid basketball fan and loved watching and playing the game. Family was so important to David, and he could always be found in auditorium seats and on bleachers cheering his kids on in whatever activities they were involved in.
Services for David are Monday, November 27, 2023 at Longview Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 1pm and services at 2pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Longview Missionary Baptist Church.
