David Carrol Doron

David Carrol Doron, 67, of Hallsville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2025, while camping with his wife and friends-one of his favorite pastimes.

Born May 13, 1958, in Creal Springs, Illinois, to James and Mae Dean (Lamphere) Doron, David displayed a love for sports from an early age. He became a standout basketball player and ran track, admired not only for his athletic ability but also for his tireless work ethic. That same determination shaped every aspect of his life, where he was always ready to lend a hand and offer steadfast friendship to everyone he met.

Above all, David was a man of faith. A devoted Christian, he lived out his belief in loving others, serving with generosity, and walking humbly with the Lord. His faith anchored him as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and it provided strength and guidance in every season of his life.

On November 26, 1977, David married his high school sweetheart, Kim McNail, whom he had lovingly dated since the age of 15. Together they built a beautiful life, first in Marion, Illinois, and, for the past 39 years, in Hallsville, Texas, where they raised their family surrounded by cherished friends and a strong community.

David's legacy is one of faith, love, loyalty, and strength. He will be remembered for his generosity, his unwavering kindness, and the way he made everyone feel like family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mae Dean Doron.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kim Doron; son, Anthony Doron and wife Amy; daughter, Akita Cano and husband Weismann; beloved grandchildren, Seann Cano, Jesse Cano, Hazle Cano, and Myra Doron; sister, Karen Witt and husband Ronnie; sister, Nancy Steh and husband Devin; sister-in-law, Vicki Jaco and husband Clay; as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members, and countless dear friends.

A Life Celebration® funeral service for David Carrol Doron, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 30th, 2025 in The Cammack Family - Directors of Funerals. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, August 29th, 2025 at the funeral home.
