Darlene Ann (Davis) Beard

Darlene Ann Davis Beard 76, of Longview passed away December 25, 2023, peacefully in her home. Darlene was born in California June 27, 1947, to Frank and Helen Davis and moved to Texas as a child. Darlene is survived by her loving spouse, Graham Good; her brother, Bill Davis (Edith); kids, Gordon Cooper (Melissa); Nancy Lea Manning (Gary); Lloyd Beard (Kris); Jason Beard (Betty); Connie Morgan (Brandon); as well as 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren Darlene was known to as "Granny Beard".

Darlene was a woman of many trades throughout the years and has been happily retired since 2007. She was a woman full of life, and loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She had a love for dancing, and loved to travel doing so! She most enjoyed spending time with her love, Graham. Darlene was always very involved with anything that had to do with her kids and grandkids and will always be known as "the cool Granny".

A Life Celebration® funeral service for Darlene Davis Beard, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 29th, 2023 in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be, Melvin Cooper; Henry Cooper; Garrett Manning; Brandon Curtis Jr.; Shane Weaver; and Cody Stanley.

The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in loving memory of Darlene Beard.
