Danya Holland Life Story

Danya Michelle Holland, a beacon of joy and boundless energy, left the earthly world on April 4th, 2024 to be with her Lord and Savior, but her spirit remains an undimmed light in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on May 31st, 1966, in the sun-kissed town of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Danya embraced the world with a love for the outdoors that was as vast as the sky above her beloved Harleton, TX, where she drew her last breath. With every sunrise, Danya lived her life as the embodiment of laughter and generosity. Early morning front porch sitting with a cup of coffee in her hand and her husband by her side, was one of her most enjoyable ways to begin her day. Her magnetic humor, thoughtful nature, and selfless approach to life made her a cherished soul, not only to her devoted husband James and their children Jimmy, Chance, and Shanna, but also to her seven adoring grandchildren, (one to be expected) who were the apples of her eye. Danya's zest for life was contagious. She loved to cook southern meals for her family and the grandchildren always knew that Mimi had a candy and snack stash waiting for them when they came through the door. You could make a bet that her every weekend involved either making a trip to Lowe's or having lunch at a Mexican restaurant. Only her close loved ones will continue to laugh and will always remember how they would be hearing her judgments on the restaurant food within the hours after she finished her meal. She found her haven in the open arms of nature, whether she was nurturing her garden into a symphony of colors, sitting around a campfire under a canopy of stars, or exploring new horizons with the wind in her hair. Her love for camping, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends, was not just a hobby, but a testament to her belief that life is a grand adventure meant to be savored in all its glory. Danya not only lived by this creed but inspired others to do the same. Her legacy is not one of stillness, but of motion - an ongoing journey of love, laughter, and the pursuit of happiness. She had a love for the Lord and it was simply shown by her choice of decor in her home, as crosses, angels, and Bible verses filled her walls. To speak of Danya is to speak of a life well-lived, a path sprinkled with kindness, and a story that will continue to motivate and uplift. She was a very petite lady, but most knew that she was a firecracker and her husband will be the first to vouch for that. She navigated life's ebb and flow with grace, leaving behind a trail of memories that will continue to warm us through the coldest nights. Danya's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, yet her influence remains as powerful as ever. Her spirit, free and unbound, urges us to embrace each day with the same courage and passion she showed. In every seed we plant, in every journey we embark upon, Danya is there, smiling, urging us on to make the most of this wondrous journey called life. As the sun sets on her time with us, we bid farewell to Danya Michelle Holland, a woman who was so much more than the sum of her days. Her story does not end here, As the birds sang outside her window, our Lord and Savior took her Home to begin her Heavenly life. Danya's chapter continues with the ones that she has touched throughout her life. Her laughter echoes in the rustling leaves, her wisdom in the quiet of the dawn, and her love in every blooming flower. Let us honor her memory by living fully, loving deeply, and laughing often, just as she did. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5-7pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
