Danny Ray Burrow, affectionately known as Danny Ray, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, in Longview, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship. Born on January 10, 1952, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, he brought joy and determination into the world, which he carried throughout his 74 years. Danny Ray was a man of great skill and even greater heart. His work ethic was evident in his diverse career; his dedication shone brightly during his 20 years as an iron worker at Fluor Construction Company, where his hard work and commitment were recognized by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. He was a proficient welder, an expert carpenter, a resourceful mechanic, and a successful owner of a logging company. His hands shaped not only the materials he worked with but also the lives he touched, leaving an indelible mark on his community. It was not all work for Danny Ray, he had a passion for the outdoors, finding peace and excitement in fishing and hunting. Mud bogging was another adventure that brought him joy, as was the simple pleasure of sharing a beer with friends. Above all, Danny Ray cherished time spent with his family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. He leaves behind his children, Jason Hutchings and his wife, Danette, Danny Joe Burrow and his wife, Shelby Jo, Danny Ray Burrow, Jr. and his wife, Sheri, Danya Dunnavant and her husband, Larry, Beth Smeraldo and her husband, Robert, and Danny Eugene Burrow; his legacy continues through them and his cherished grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Remington Jo, Timothy, Hannah, Emily, Hailey, Dakota, Madison, Andrew, Josiah, Micah, and Hayden. Danny Ray is also survived by his loving sisters, Mary and Sissy; his brother, Curtis; and numerous other family members and friends who knew and loved him. He was a beacon of strength and love for his family and was always there with a story to tell or a solution to a problem. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoNell Burrow, his parents, Cleveland and Ethel Burrow, and his siblings, Harold, Bill, Bob, Cleveland, Faye, Bonnie, Donna, and Lowell. Danny Ray's life was a testament to the power of hard work, the importance of family, and the joy of living life to the fullest. His laughter and stories will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Danny Ray Burrow was a man who made the world a better place by simply being in it. He will be remembered with love and admiration, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward.
