Carolyn Jones

Carolyn McAdams Jones, known affectionately to many as Babe, went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 24, 2024. A celebration of life for Carolyn "Babe" Jones, 83, of Marshall will be held at 10 AM Monday, June 3, 2024 at Sullivan Funeral Home with a visitation to follow. She was born on November 9, 1940 in Marshall, Texas to Looney and Mary McAdams. She was a 1959 graduate of Marshall High School and retired from Marshall Memorial Hospital. Carolyn enjoyed fishing, baking, playing 42, spending time with her dear friends, Jodie and Linda Sooter, and listening to Charlie's captivating stories. She was a devoted wife, proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted her life to unselfish love for friends and family and attended the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Jones; sisters, Mary Francis Johnson and Rosalyn Hardwick; nephew, Terry Johnson; dearest friend, Bobbie Nell Franks. Carolyn is survived by her son David (Dawn) Jones; granddaughter Jordan Jones; great granddaughter Hazel Johnson; special nieces Pam Brock and Sandra Pruitt; nephew Jim (Paula) Hardwick; other relatives and numerous friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad Faucett, Brad Franks, Keith Franks, Jimmy McDaniel, Ronald Pilkington and Brandon Robbins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Franks, Jim Hardwick and Jodie Sooter.
