Carolyn Faye (Gill) DeLange

Carolyn Faye DeLange (80), the heart and soul of the DeLange Family, completed her journey on Earth on October 21, 2019. Carolyn was surrounded by her family when she went to be with the Lord.
Carolyn was born September 13, 1939, in Spiro Oklahoma, to Robert Eugene and Mayme Ellen Gill. Carolyn was blessed to have known the love of her life, Larry DeLange, from the time they were school aged children. Larry and Carolyn were married and began her dream of starting a family.
Carolyn, a devoted wife, an exceptional mother, a gentle grandmother, and loving sister; was the anchor to all those she loved. She was a selfless woman to be admired. She found great joy working in public relations as a Vice President at Citizen’s Bank, where she never met a stranger. She had a way with people, where everyone she encountered felt as if they had known her for years. Carolyn bestowed her strong family values and morals to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, which were her pride and joy.
Carolyn’s loved ones will receive friends and family on October 24, 2019, from 6:00 pm – 8:00pm in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration will be held October 25, 2019 at 10:00 am, in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home.
Carolyn is survived by her Husband: Larry DeLange; Children: Jeanine and her husband Ricky Rounsavall, Kevin and his wife Casey DeLange; Grandchildren: Chrissi and Kirk Webb, NaTasha Napier, Kyler, Kendall, Shelby, and Kaden DeLange, Jennifer and Cory Shannon, Michael and Savanna Rounsavall, and Dylan Walls; Great Grandchildren: Riley and Laney Webb, MattyLynn Bolton, Tony Napier, KyLynn McGee, Corbin and Xander Shannon, River, Jovie, and Marlie Rounsavall; Siblings: Connie Cordell; Nancy Bailey; Linda Cowan; and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: Parents: Robert Eugene and Mayme Ellen Gill; Siblings: Sister - Donna Marie Butler, Brother in Law - Lloyd Cordell, Brother in Law - Allen “Dee” DeLange, Sister in Law - Isabel DeLange, Nephew - Allen DeLange, Niece - Joanne DeLange Duvane; Grandchildren: Granddaughter Samantha DeLange; Great Granddaughter Karlee Napier.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carolyn’s Memory to HeartsWay Hospice at 4351 McCann Road, Longview, Texas, 75605. A heartfelt thank you to all who prayed, called, visited, fed the family, offered support and encouragement during Carolyn’s final days. The family is also grateful to Summer Meadows and HeartsWay Hospice for the tender loving care they provided for her and all of us.
