Carolyn Lou (Knoble) St. Andre, affectionately known as Carolyn to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Harleton, TX. Born on October 4, 1943, Carolyn's life was a testament to the love and dedication she had for her family, her work, and her faith. Carolyn was a woman of great strength and character, embodying the virtues of compassion and perseverance throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.R. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughter, Nova Jean Jackson (Henry); her sons, Gerald Ridgeway (Sherrie) and Jeremy Ridgeway (Margie); her step-children, Charles St. Andre (Tammy), Aubrey St. Andre, and Alice Faye Vann; her grandchildren, Jessica Calderon, Amanda Hatcher, Renea Ridgeway, Bobby Tripp, Katrina Watson, and Justin Ridgeway; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Carolyn also leaves behind her sisters, Vinnie Jones and Doris Wilson (Keith); and her brother, Clinton "Buddy" Knoble, Jr., as well as many other nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss her dearly. Throughout her life, Carolyn was a beacon of love and support for her family, providing them with not just material necessities but also the warmth and wisdom that only a matriarch of her caliber could offer. Devoted to her work, Carolyn woke up each morning with a zest for the day's tasks. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she took pride in contributing to her community and setting an example for her family. A faithful Christian, she was an active member of Athey Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she nurtured her spiritual life and formed lasting relationships with her fellow parishioners. Carolyn's interests were as varied as they were fulfilling. She had a fondness for doing puzzles, a hobby that reflected her patience and attention to detail. Fishing was another pastime she enjoyed, often finding peace and solace by the water's edge. Music was a constant in Carolyn's life, providing a soundtrack to many cherished moments. Traveling across the country in their travel trailer brought her immense joy, but it was her family that remained her true passion. Carolyn was a wonderful mother, a devoted grandmother, and a loyal friend to all who knew her. Her legacy will be carried on not only through her family but also through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. Carolyn's life was a journey marked by unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and a commitment to living each day with purpose and gratitude. As we say goodbye to Carolyn Lou (Knoble) St. Andre, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be treasured forever.
