Carole Dubose Life Story

A celebration of life service for Carole DuBose of Longview, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday November 19, 2025 at The Cammack Family-Welch Funeral Home in Longview, Texas with burial to follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00.

Carole went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at her home in Longview at the age of 88.

Born on May 27, 1937 in Gladewater, TX, Carole lived out her life anchored in her faith, loving Jesus, and reflecting His love in the way she treated everyone around her.

Carole was a devoted mother and doting grandmother. She poured her heart into her family, celebrating their milestones, supporting them through challenges, and offering a steady, unconditional love that made each person feel cherished and seen. Being "Meme" was one of her greatest callings, and she embraced it with warmth, humor, and tenderness that will be deeply missed.

For more than 30 years, Carole served as a respected and beloved school teacher at Pine Tree Primary School as a kindergarten teacher. To many, she was not just a teacher but a blessing.

Carole had a big heart, and she shared it freely. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church which she loved very much. Whether offering a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or an act of kindness, she lived out her faith in small, everyday ways that left a lasting impact. Her life was a testimony of love, joy, and the goodness of God. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Neil Chamberlain; her treasured grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth, and Jonathan Chamberlain; her devoted sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Walter Jones; her stepdaughters, Susan Dechara, Barbara Daniel, Donna Neff and their families; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Doyle Salter (Lynda and the girls' father) and Winston DuBose as well as her parents, O. C. and Myrtle Harrell.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the caregivers for their compassionate care, love, and support: Renee, Charlotte, Gloria, Shannon, and Shelia. The family would also like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their excellent care.

While we will miss her, we rejoice knowing she is now in the arms of Jesus-restored, at peace, and surrounded by glory. Her legacy of faith, love, and compassion will continue to live on in her family and in all who were blessed to know her.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13
