Bopleh Mah was known for many great things and has left a legacy for years to come. Bo put up a great fight, but God took him to his Heavenly home to live with Him on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
As many may not know, Bo was born on January 8, 1987 in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, to his mother Bendu Johnson and his late father Francis Jlani Mah. Through the grace of God, he was provided a loving home with his parents who raised him, Anthony Togba and Judy Togba. Bopleh attended a private Catholic school, St. Mary’s in Liberia, and continued his education when he came to the United States at the University of North Texas. Here is where he met his beloved wife, Christina Mah, right after completing his boot camp training with the United States Marine Corps.
Bopleh completed his education in Biology and later on began his journey as an educator to many students who enjoyed his classroom. He and his wife wed on August 7, 2011. Soon afterwards they had their first child, Olivia Grace. Over the years her siblings arrived, Evelyn Michelle, Jonah Jlani, and Violet Gwen. Bopleh was a loving, devoted, and great dad. His kids couldn’t have asked for a better father. He not only loved his children, but had a love for people, especially in his home country, Liberia. Bopleh created a nonprofit foundation, The Mah Enrichment Foundation in Liberia, to help support his family and friends in Liberia. His legacy will live on forever through the many lives he has touched.
One thing that is known about Bo is that his heart was strong for Jesus. He attended several churches over the years and last settled at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church where he sang with the choir, held prayer meetings, and was an active member. Many memories have been made with his church family who loved the joy that Bopleh brought wherever he went.
Bopleh Mah will be greatly missed by all who have gotten to know him. He holds the hearts of so many from his love of God, basketball, the Marines, and to his school campus. May he forever be remembered for the honorable things he has done.
The family will receive friends for his visitation on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 6 o’clock in the evening to 8 o’clock in the evening in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Hallsville, Texas on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11 o’clock in the morning.
