Bobby Rogers Life Story

Bobby Gene Rogers Jr. was born March 4, 1960 to Bobby Gene Rogers Sr. and Mary Susanna Stover in Terra Haute, Indiana. He left this earth on April 14, 2024 in Tyler, Texas. Bobby is survived by his wife Latrice of the home, Sister Thelma Rogers of Jonesboro, AR, Brother George Rogers of Longview TX, Sister Sedona Richardson of Jonesboro, AR, Brother Dorvel (Dion) Williams, Brother Shane Williams of Longview, TX, Brother Harold Rogers of Jonesboro, AR, Brother Nick Rogers(Tonya) of Hallsville, TX, Brother James Rogers(Sami) of Brookland, AR, Brother Tommy Rogers(Tanya) of Hallsville, TX, Sister Pamela Neisler(Tony) of Holly Grove, AR, multiple grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Bobby "Bo" Gene Rogers III, father Bobby Gene Rogers Sr., mother Mary Susanna Stover, and step-mother Karen Marie Rogers.
Bobby lived in many places throughout his life, including Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas. He made a living driving truck and doing mechanic work. He could work on just about any type of engine, having learned the trade from his father.
Bobby enjoyed being a cowboy. He loved horses, mules, and everything cowboy. He and Latrice enjoyed traveling to Clinton, Arkansas, to the chuck wagon races and competing in various events. It's been said that people were born in the wrong time. It's plain to see that Bobby was born 100 years too late, as the cowboy lifestyle fit him so well.
Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting. He took special pleasure in teasing young children who came to the house. Bobby loved watching old westerns and war movies, especially John Wayne movies. His favorite singer was Johnny Cash. He enjoyed telling stories and recounting memories with family members. It's safe to say he will be sorely missed.
The family will hold a private memorial in honor of Bobby.
