Life Story
Born April 21, 1928 to William Franklin and Eddie Ross Anderson of Mansfield, LA. She married the love of her life, Huey P. Harris of Olla, LA, on November 6, 1949. During their 31 years together, they loved to travel. She was actively involved in her Sunday school class and made numerous trips with the church's Wise Old Owls (WOO) choir. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed donating her time and crafty creations to others. She utilized her gifted talents including sewing, crocheting, cross-stitch, floral and wreath arrangements, and painting for other's enjoyment and special occasions. Giving to others brought her great joy. She loved volunteering and logged many hours as a Pink Lady at the Christus Good Shepherd hospital in Marshall, TX. As a volunteer, she could be found in the gift shop or hand-making tray favors that were distributed to patients spending their holidays in the hospital.
