Angela Dawn Ligon

Angela "Angi" Dawn Ligon, passed away on June 1st, 2023 in Kilgore, Texas at the age of 51 years.

Angi was born February 23rd, 1972 to David Ligon and Andra Jones(Ligon) in Kilgore, TX. She spent her whole life in the East Texas area, so she could be close to her family. She worked at Quest diagnostics in Longview, as well as Alpine dry cleaners in Longview. Always passionate about music, she could play the piano along with other instruments beginning at a very young age. One of her favorite hobbies was scrapbooking, which she picked up from her mother. She also loved to go fishing and pick fresh dewberries. Her wardrobe consisted of anything pink or rhinestones. Her love for sweets such as cheesecake or Little Debbies was unmatched by anyone that knew her.

She was a religious woman, who despite her hardships still tried to maintain her spiritual life. She also loved her family even with the difficulties in her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Ligon; grandfather, Curtis Ligon; grandmother, Jessie Ligon; grandfather, Leon Leport Elmore and grandmother Opal Mae Elmore.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Trevor Ligon and his wife Jody; daughter, Sarah Spence and her husband J.J. . As well as her mother, Andra Jones and her husband, Ronnie Jones; stephmother, Julie Ligon; aunt, Nelda Close and her husband, Ronnie; sisters, Kishla Davis and her husband, J.P. ; Amy Jenkins and her husband, Clay; brother, Kelly Jones and his wife, Sabrina . Along with many more relatives that are too many to mention.

A Life Celebration visitation will be held on Thursday June 8th, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home.
