Amber Lawrence Life Story

Amber Benson Lawrence, passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 40. Born in Longview, Texas, on April 3, 1984, to Kyle Benson and Gwen Stauffer, she was a lifelong resident of East Texas.

Amber was a devoted wife to Jonathan Lawrence and a dedicated mother to two beautiful children, Myla and Logan Lawrence. Her love of her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Daughter to, Gwen, and her bonus father, Tim Stauffer. Kyle, and her bonus mother, Georgeann Benson. Her extended family included her stepbrothers, Nick Stauffer, along with his wife Diana and daughter Ariel, Matt Tarpley with his wife Mandy and their son Atticus, and Ross Tarpley and his partner Reid Akers. She also leaves behind a large extended family. All of whom are left to cherish Amber's memory. She was proceeded in death by her brother Chris Benson.

A graduate of East Texas Police Academy, Amber also earned her Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Kilgore College. Amber enjoyed working in retail, where her friendliness and kind spirt were always on display, making lifelong friends during her first job at Mervyn's.

Beyond her family and career, Amber was known for her adventurous spirit and her passion for life. She found joy in live concerts, where music allowed her to express her creative side. Amber was an avid reader, always eager to explore new worlds and ideas through the pages of a book. Some of her favorite times were traveling with family and friends throughout her life whether it was skiing in the mountains, watching the alligators at Brazos Bend, to the beaches of Florida.

Those who knew Amber will remember her as a loving, giving, and thoughtful individual. Her ability to see the best in people and to offer a helping hand where needed made her a cherished friend and valued loved one. Amber's playful and witty nature has left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

As Amber's family and friends bid her farewell, they take solace in the memories of her laughter, her gentle spirit, and the love she spread so generously. Amber's legacy will continue to live on through the lives of her husband, her children, and the many people she touched with her courageous nature.

Family and friends will gather for a Life Celebration on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cammack Family Chapel. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Longview Animal Care Adoption Center or Heart'sWay Hospice.
