Alice Marie Keele-Steen, affectionately known as Alice, left this world on January 30, 2024, after a valiant battle with severe sepsis. Born on November 3, 1956, in Killeen, Texas, Alice's zest for life and her warm, friendly nature touched all who knew her. Surrounded by the love of her family, she passed away peacefully in Longview, Texas.

Alice was a spirited soul, whose creativity and friendliness knew no bounds. She approached life with an infectious enthusiasm, a trait that endeared her to many. A loving mother, cherished sister, and adored grandmother, Alice's legacy is one of joy, resilience, and the boundless love she shared with her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Misty Violet; her sons, Christopher Wicker and Derek Keele; and her beloved stepchildren, Winona, Rinda, Carol, Dan, and Paul. Her sister, Linda Patterson, and nephew, Bryan L. Patterson, will also hold dear the memory of Alice's vivacious spirit.

From her early days in Killeen, Alice's friendly demeanor shone brightly. She was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them feeling as though they had known her for years. Her creative talents were evident in all she did, from the way she decorated her home to the thoughtful gifts she crafted for her loved ones.

An avid angler, Alice found peace and solace in the quiet moments spent fishing. It was on the serene lakes and rivers of Texas that she felt most at home, with the sun on her face and a line in the water. The joy she found in these simple pleasures was only surpassed by the love she had for her grandchildren.
