Rebecca Ann Nix

Rebecca Ann Nix suffered a massive stroke on December 7 and passed from this life December 9, 2019. She was born June 2, 1943 in Frankston, Texas to Bud and Rachel Walker. Becky married the love of her life, Andy Nix, on November 4, 1960. Together they had two children, Mike Nix, married to Pam, and Radonna Cannon, married to Patrick. Becky stayed at home with her children when they were young. After they started school, she ran a small business in Dallas. In the mid 70s, she and Andy moved their family to Longview where they started a business and made many friends. Through the years together they had several successful businesses. She was a founder of United Trailer in White Oak which is still in business today. Becky loved life and enjoyed traveling, playing games (but she would cheat if she could get away with it), painting, loved flowers, especially orchids and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Andy, father Bud, mother Rachel, brothers Dewaune and Ronnie Walker, and sister Janice Hawthorne. Those left to cherish her memories are her son Mike (Pam), her daughter Radonna (Patrick), grandsons Drake Nix and wife Stephanie and Hayden Nix, and her pride and joy, Adelaide Nix, her only great-granddaughter, two brothers Thomas and Donny Walker, one sister Nancy Curiel (Alex), many nieces and nephews, special friends Linda Brooks, Shyrlent Boyette, Gwen Benson and Gail Benson and many other friends. The family will receive visitors between 5 and 7PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 and services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019 all at Welch Funeral home in Longview, Texas.
