Official Obituary of
Lena Mae (Worsham) Fuller
October 15, 1935 ~ November 30, 2018 (age 83) 83 Years Old
9 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Lena's family - View on Tribute Wall
On the morning of November 30, 2018, Lena Mae Fuller left the loving arms of her family to be embraced by her heavenly Father. Lena was born on October 15, 1935 to Bennie Aubrey and Effie Mae Worsham living most of her life in Longview Texas. On February 25, 1955, Lena married the love of her life, Halley D. Fuller and they later had three sons.
Lena was a devoted follower of Christ who met her Lord at Mobberly Baptist Church as a young girl. She devoted her life to sharing the love of Jesus with others through teaching Sunday school, visiting those who were homebound, and by being a servant inside and outside her home. Lena showered love on everyone she met with a hug, word of encouragement, and her unmistakable smile.
She was a diehard Longview Lobo fan and participated in the Lobo Marching Band. One of her fondest memories was marching in the Macy’s Day Parade where she was honored as the Band Sweetheart. Undoubtedly, her greatest joy on this earth was her family and serving her Lord Jesus.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Halley D. Fuller; her oldest son Mac Fuller; son Cole Fuller and wife, Holly; and youngest son Joe Fuller and wife, Lucretia; her grandchildren who loved her dearly Maddie Fuller O’Laire, Joseph Fuller, Zach Fuller and Ben Fuller and their families, along with her great grandchildren Kinley Jo Fuller, Dabney Fuller, Izetta Fuller and Owen O’Laire; her brother Leroy Worsham and wife, Peggy; and sister Darlene Williams; sisters-in-law Carol Jackson, and husband, David; Rethea Gambill and husband, Bob; Sherrie Welch and husband, Thomas; brothers-in-law Wyland Fuller and wife, Joanie; Lawrence Fuller and wife Elizabeth; Tommy Fuller and wife, Cindy; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and other special loved ones, Janell Worsham, Carolyn Fuquay Stormont, Nancy McKinley, and Milena Jankovic.
We wish to extend a deep appreciation to the staff of Haven Care, especially Donna and Nurse Barbara, and the special caregivers of Life Care Hospice, including Ms. Sandra and Nurse April, for the love, care and support provided to Lena and her family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. with the Life Celebration Service following at 2 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Longview, Texas.
