Lee Killingsworth Life Story

A Life Celebration service for Lee Killingsworth, 98, of Longview, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6th, 2019, in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Killingsworth passed away June 3rd, following a brief illness.

Mr. Killingsworth was born in 1921 in Longview to Samuel A. and Florence Killingsworth, the
youngest of five children.

Mr. Killingsworth is survived by his sons, Lee and wife, Brenda Killingsworth of Silsbee, Texas;
James M. Killingsworth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Gary and wife, Kay Ketchum of Kilgore, Texas; and
daughter, Lois and husband, J. B. McCaleb of Longview, Texas; his grandchildren, Joe and wife, Laura MacKay of Kilgore, Texas; Joshua and wife, Lindsey McCaleb of Corsicana, Texas;
Lacy and husband, Ryan Thomas of Silsbee, Texas; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Killingsworth was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Richie Killingsworth; his wife, Evelyn Holiman Killingsworth; and wife, Nelwyn Ketchum Killingsworth, his parents and his siblings.

Mr Killingsworth was a graduate of Longview High School and was attending Longview High School in 1937 when the Lobo's won the State Championship.

Mr. Killingsworth was a veteran of WW II, a Shriner and member of the Longview Masonic Lodge No. 404 for 65 years, a member of the Gregg County Historical Museum. He was a long-time member of the Dallas Caddo Hunting and Fishing Club in Uncertain, Texas.

Mr. Killingsworth was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Longview at age 12; He supported and attended Dr. Kenneth McKinley's Bible Study Program for many years.

The family expresses their appreciation to his dedicated caregiver, Ms. Mickey Ramey and appreciation to his neighbors in Towne Lake Addition for their love and support.
