Kyle Wayne Abernathy

Kyle Wayne Abernathy, age 57, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019, in Longview, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1961, in Longview to Nancy Annette Everett Abernathy and John Wayne Abernathy. He later married Deborah Sue Hughes on October 22, 2005, in Longview.

Kyle's hobbies were riding horses, fishing and hunting with his friends. He loved the rodeo, country music, playing his guitar and western movies. He loved to laugh and make other people laugh. He was a member of Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Pine Tree Masonic Lodge 1396.

Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Deborah Sue Abernathy; mother, Nancy Annette Everett Abernathy; father, John Wayne Abernathy all of Longview; brother, Micheal Abernathy and wife, Sherry of Adairsville, Georgia; son, Matthew Scott Abernathy; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kadence, Ethan and their mother, Natalie Abernathy of Maud, Texas; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Novie Harley Everett; John Ed and Dorothy Wright Abernathy; cousins, Vicky Lynn Everett Strohsahl and Howard Garrett; uncles, Howard Rodden Everett and Joe Butch Abernathy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at The Cammack Family Welch Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Tree Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and interment will follow at White Cemetery in Longview, Texas.
