Judy Homer was born on Sunday, September 16, 1951, to Edna Beulah Ball Williams and Billy James Dale Williams in Odessa, Texas, and passed away November 27, 2019, after a car accident. She was the baby of four and the only girl. Her dad lovingly called her "Baby Doll." She and her family moved to Mt. Pleasant in the 6th grade. She met the love of her life, Ricky Eugene Homer, at the age of 15, and they married December 28, 1970. They had three children - Mindy, Kristi, and Daniel. Judy held many jobs throughout her lifetime - insurance, Avon, Tupperware - but her greatest joy was being a mom, wife, grandma, and great-grandma. She was loved by all who met her. She will be fondly remembered for her love of Christ, Christ-like love for others, and being a prayer warrior. Every time her loved ones asked, she made the best sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, and cinnamon croissants. Judy loved sewing, music, praising the Lord, reading, singing, loving her babies and Christmas! She was preceded in death by her dad, Billy James Dale Williams; and her grandparents, Georgia Ava Bennett, A.E. Williams and Dora Peach Williams. She leaves behind her mother, Edna Beulah Ball Williams; her soulmate and love of her life, Ricky Eugene Homer; her daughters, Melinda (Louis) Odle; Kristi (Larry) Morgan; and her son, Daniel Homer; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five grands-in-law; three brothers and their wives, Frank (Lisa) Williams; Ronnie (Sarah) Williams; and Floyd (Shan) Williams; three sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Homer; Catherine Ann Homer; and Dee Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, Longview on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Judson Community Baptist Church Building Fund, Longview, Texas
