Claude (Buddy) William Washburn III, 71, long-term resident of Tyler, Texas passed away peacefully after an extended illness on May 22, 2019 in Longview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Washburn, his father, Claude William Washburn Junior and his sister Rebecca Payne. He was born July 26, 1947 in Houston. After High School, Buddy served four years in the US Navy and twenty years in the US Navy Reserves. Buddy received degrees as Journeyman Carpenter in Houston, Texas and later a Drafting degree in Tyler, Texas. After 30 years, retired from Trane Company in Tyler, Texas. Buddy is survived by his son, Frank Washburn of Angleton, Texas and daughters, Rachel Lynn and Husband, Scott Zhorne of Longview, Texas and Dana Vincent of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Also, seven Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Survived by Mother, Peggy Washburn Johnson of Lake Jackson. Siblings are Laughter Spencer of Mena, Arkansas. Mike Washburn of Alvin, Texas. Owen Washburn of Liverpool, Texas. Cynthia Odom of Lake Jackson, Texas. Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 11:30am-1:30pm, at Lake Cherokee, NP 22. All family and friends welcome.
