Charlotte Landry, age 11, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at her home in Longview, Texas. Charly was born on November 30, 2007, in Austin, Texas to parents Steven Landry and Karin Roethler. A sweet and vibrant girl, Charly was known by her family and friends to be sassy, smart, and bold. She was known to sign “No, No” with determination when she wanted her wishes known. Charly also loved wind in her face and hair. Her dad remembers when he would fan air in her face to light up her smile for school photos. Charly was not only loved by her family but also by the nursing staff and therapists that cared deeply for her. Charly’s family and friends hold fond memories of beach vacations, pool days, and equine therapy with their bright and courageous little girl. Charly is survived by her parents, Steven and Samantha Landry, and Karin Roethler; her sister Lily Hilker; her paternal grandparents, Paul and Denise Landry; her maternal grandparents, John and Vera Thompson; her aunts and uncles, Michael and Michelle Hardin, and Sean and Mandy Landry; and her cousins, Tyra, Jackie, Jenna, and Maddock. A Life Celebration and viewing will take place at Welch Funeral Home in Longview, Texas on Tuesday July 9th, 2019, 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. “We cannot, after all, judge a biography by its length, by the number of pages in it; we must judge by the richness of the contents...Sometimes the 'unfinisheds' are among the most beautiful symphonies.” ― Viktor E. Frankl
