Brandon Lee Jones, 40, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. He was born in Longview on June 15, 1978 to Glenda and J.C. Jones. He attended Spring Hill schools and graduated from Ouchita Job Corps with a welding degree. He traveled the country on various welding jobs, and even worked on the world’s largest offshore drilling rig and the world’s largest solar panel. Brandon was extremely passionate about his job as a welder.
Brandon was a proud and loyal, some might say obsessive, fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Brandon was an incredibly gifted artist who passed his drawing skills on to his beloved son, Tristan. If you were a friend of Brandon, then you had a friend for life. His loyalty had no limits. Brandon’s most special ability of all was to help people far better than he could help himself. To Brandon’s friends, we are forever grateful for those of you who helped Brandon with his life’s struggles.
Brandon is survived by his beloved son, Tristan; his parents, Glenda and J.C. Jones of Tatum; sisters, April Huntley of Tatum and Shannon (Kent) Jamison of Houston; brothers, Clay (Stephanie) of Bossier City, and Chris (Jamie) of Spring Hill; aunts, Janie (Jimmy) Deaton and Shirley (James) Marable. Brandon also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home.
